Wildlife Survey – help needed urgently

The Parish Council would like to use your local knowledge to do their wildlife survey around the large field south of Branch Road proposed by Endurance Estates to build a 200 unit retirement ‘village’.

They would be grateful for information regarding any wildlife sightings or records made in the last 2 years, both in the main field, the orchard area, the Recreation Ground and its extension or adjacent fields/properties/roads.

Please read their Wildlife Survey request for more details and  help protect the village from unwanted major developments

Recreation facilities survey deadline extended to end of January !

Comberton Parish Council are running an online survey about the recreation facilities that the village should plan to have in the future.

The Parish Council is extending the deadline to submit a response to the Recreation Facilities Survey to 31st January 2023. The more responses we receive, the stronger our applications for funding will be. Note that we accept one response per resident. Groups are invited to email a letter to the clerk ([at]">[at]). If you have any questions, or if you would like to help, please contact the clerk. Many thanks

The online survey is here , it closes on 31st January 2023.

PC needs more responses from the old age groups, and teenagers to reflect better our village demographics!!

Comberton can support for Ukraine: It all starts with a spare room

Support for Ukraine: It all starts with a spare room

A major campaign in our area has been launched to appeal for more hosts in South Cambridgeshire to support families from Ukraine.
Anyone who can offer a room is being asked to text ROOM to 88802.

Around South Cambs  a total of almost 500 hosts have already been providing housing to guests. However, with the war in Ukraine continuing, and with it not being safe for many families to return, there is an ongoing demand to provide them with a safe place to stay.

Anyone who can offer a spare room and warm welcome is being asked to text ROOM to 88802 so that councils can support them through the process and match hosts to guests who have already started to settle in the local area.

Read more, and watch video stories from current hosts and guests below or at www.scambs.gov.uk/support-for-ukraine-it-all-starts-with-a-spare-room
